Our volunteer programs at World Relief Chicago have gone digital until further notice! Here's what we're doing:
Equipping volunteer tutors to connect with students using digital platforms like What's App, Google Hangout, Skype, etc. We hope to be able to allow in-person volunteering again in coming months.
We've also adapted our volunteer info session to a 2-part online experience. During an info session, you will:
Be set up for success as you begin building relationships with refugees, asylees, and other immigrant groups in Chicago.
Learn valuable cross-cultural skills.
Gain a broader understanding of the global displacement crisis and learn about immigration issues in the U.S.
Once you have filled out the online application, here's what happens next:
Receive an email from us within 72 hours;
Use the links to complete part 1 of the online info session (self-guided) and register for part 2 (a live Zoom session).
Attend the part 2 session.
Do a short phone interview.
Complete a background check.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions!
